How would you create a PLN prior to engaging a social media campaign on a topic of your choice?

In order to create a Personal Learning Network (PLN) prior to engaging in a social media campaign, I must establish a strong presence in the community of my topic. Firstly, I would pick the appropriate social media that would be most suitable for my topic area. In this case, I would be looking to engage in a fitness and workout social media campaign. The most appropriate platform for this would be Instagram. Instagram allows for you to share videos and pictures along with posts and allows for others to like and leave their comments. Creating a strong presence and digital identity in the community can be done by establishing myself as a knowledgeable, and interactive person among people in that community. This can be done through commenting on posts of others in the community, and engaging in conversations with the others whether in private or public. That way I’m networking, and people in the specified community know who I am, and I know who they are. After establishing myself in the community and forming connections with members of the community I would then begin to share my content and initiate my campaign. I would expect my engagement to be high especially that I am known in the community at the point, and have formed connections with members. I would also expect members to share my content with others and therefore growing my campaign.
